If you are asked to obtain an RCMP criminal record check for employment or visa purposes, you may be required to submit a Document Control Number (DCN) to your employer or department. A DCN is a series of 20-digit numbers associated with your RCMP criminal record check. This number is generated after your fingerprints have been submitted to the RCMP and is unique to each document. It could be used to confirm and track the status of the document with RCMP.

If you are applying for the RCMP criminal record check and are required to submit a Document Control Number, please confirm the destination ORI where the criminal record check needs to be sent to. Some common ORIs are: PQ80800 Public Services and Procurement Canada, ON80230 Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), etc. If you are applying for Cannabis Security Clearance, you can be requested to provide a DCN and have the result sent to Health Canada.

If you need a DCN with your RCMP Police certificate, The Fingerprint Room Inc. can help you! With friendly and knowledgeable staff, The Fingerprint Room Inc. can take your fingerprints, digitalize and submit them to the RCMP, and provide you with a confirmation document with a DCN.
