Controlled Goods Program

The Controlled Goods Program (CGP) is a registration and compliance program at Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) aiming to register and regulate businesses and individuals with access to controlled goods related to military/national security.

Any company that will examine or transfer controlled goods/technology in Canada must register in the Controlled Goods Program. To register, applicants must submit electronic fingerprints to obtain a certified criminal record check based on fingerprints. Name based criminal record checks are now not acceptable and applicants must provide fingerprint based criminal record check

What to bring to your fingerprinting appointment?

1. Two pieces of government issued English IDs (one must include a photo)

What to expect at our office?

1. We will confirm your identity with your IDs

2. Fingerprints will be scanned and submitted to the RCMP

3. Our staff will arrange with RCMP to issue your certificate to your preferred mailing address
