Employees of DFO will have access to government information hence requiring a security screening.

Have your fingerprints submitted electronically to the RCMP for security screening

It is required for all employees and individuals, such as practicum students and volunteers, who have access to government information to be fingerprinted for security screening. Fingerprinting for security screening must be completed prior to employment.

What to bring to your fingerprinting appointment?

1. Two pieces of government issued English IDs (one must include a photo)

What to expect at our office?

1. We will confirm your identity with your IDs

2. Fingerprints will be scanned and submitted to the RCMP

3. RCMP will issue your RCMP certificate directly to the Fisheries and Oceans Canada

4. Receipt and DCN number will be available at the end of appointment
