Canadian Permanent Residents/Landed Immigrants Application

Permanent resident (PR) or landed immigrant status is granted by immigrating to Canada. Those who are in Canada temporarily, like a student on a study permit or a foreign worker on a work visa, are not considered permanent resident.

Do you need your fingerprints taken and submit RCMP criminal records check to IRCC?

Criminal Record Check are commonly requested by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for all countries that the applicant has resided for more than 6 months while they are over the age of 18. If you lived in Canada for more than 6 months, you may be asked for fingerprints to complete your criminal record check by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

We also offer digital and ink fingerprint services for you to apply for criminal record checks from other countries.

What to bring to your fingerprinting appointment?

1. Two pieces of government issued English IDs (one must include a photo)

2. Letter from IRCC if available

What to expect at our office?

1. We will confirm your identity with your IDs

2. Fingerprints will be scanned and submitted to the RCMP

3. Our staff will arrange with RCMP to issue your certificate to your preferred mailing address

Fingerprinting service for other country’s criminal records check?

Fingerprints will be taken digitally, by scanning with our certified program, or taken by ink. Fingerprint forms will be available at the end of the appointment. Our company RCMP certification will be provided for all fingerprint forms.

Need to provide biometrics to immigration Canada?

To provide biometrics for immigration purposes, please contact your local Service Centres to register your fingerprints and photo. Biometrics do not require a criminal record check.
