How to Obtain a Taiwanese Criminal Record Check in Canada?

If you are over 18 years of age and have lived in Taiwan for a given period of time and are applying for a Canadian PR, citizenship, work holiday visa, etc., you may be required to obtain a criminal record check issued by the police in Taiwan. You can apply for this document even if you are not currently residing in Taiwan.

To begin your Taiwanese criminal record check, you need to fill out and complete the application form. The applicant must also authenticate his or her Taiwanese passport copy or Alien Resident certificate copy at a TECO in Canada. A self-address prepaid waybill or envelope should be included in the package along with the completed application form and authenticated passport/certificate copy.

Given that the applicant is applying outside of Taiwan, the processing fees for a Taiwanese criminal record check is $7 USD (postage included) in cash for the first copy. Subsequent criminal record checks are $1 USD per copies when applying at the same time.
