Applicants for a legal name change in BC will be required to have their fingerprints taken for a criminal record check as part of the application process. After your fingerprints are transmitted to RCMP, they will produce the criminal record check and send the result directly to Vital Statistics Agency in Victoria BC. You can then submit the invoice from us for your application.

Regardless of the city of residents, all BC legal name change applicants can come to our office for fingerprinting. One of our staffs is also a Commissioner of Oaths who can provide the required signature on your name change application form, making the application process more convenient.
