To obtain a Canadian Certificate of No Criminal Conviction for Canadian Permanent Residency or Citizenship, while residing in Hong Kong, requires fingerprints and a photograph to be submitted to the RCMP. To submit the application, you will be requested to have a full set of fingerprints taken and certified by the police or notary agency where you are residing.
Fingerprints must be taken in black ink. The RCMP will only process digital fingerprints as it reduces processing times significantly. The Fingerprint Room Inc. is a RCMP-accredited fingerprinting agency. This means that for applicants who are outside of Canada and can only obtain ink fingerprints, our agency can digitize ink fingerprints and submit them electronically to the RCMP’s Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS) server.
The process is simple: once you apply through our agency, we will request you to scan two pieces of government issued IDs and the fingerprint form to our email address. Once we confirm that the fingerprints were taken in the correct format, we will request you to mail in the original fingerprint form to our Canadian headquarters. We will then digitalize and submit the fingerprints to the RCMP CCRTIS. The RCMP takes, on average, 5-10 business days to create the certificate and mail it to the mailing address provided.
