Canadians who are currently applying or renewing their visitor/work visa in Korea is required to submit a RCMP fingerprint-based certified criminal record check certificate to accompany their visa application. As they are foreigners and that the certificate is issued by Canada, authentication by the Korean Embassy in Canada is required for the certificate.
At the Fingerprint Room Inc., we offer a one stop service to assist with both obtaining the RCMP fingerprint-based background check certificate and the authentication performed by the Korean Embassy. Once we receive the necessary documentation and the original fingerprint card from the client, we first submit the fingerprints to RCMP for the certified criminal record check. Then, upon receiving the certificate back from RCMP in about 5-10 business days, we would schedule an appointment with the Korean Embassy for the authentication of the certificates. The authentication process would take 1 business day to complete. We would then courier the authenticated certificate using FedEx International Priority mailing service to the client’s mailing address. The authenticated certificate would contain the official seal from the Korean Embassy and the signature of the consular as well as the date of the authentication.
