  1. Confirm the type of Canadian police clearance you need.
    There are two types of police clearances in Canada: based on fingerprints issued from RCMP in Ottawa and based on name and date-of-birth.

    If you are applying for a visa, immigration, or employment in another country, you most likely need a fingerprint-based Canadian police clearance.

  2. Apply for your Canadian police clearance.
    Start your online application for a Canadian police clearance here! After you submit your application, email us two pieces of your valid government IDs and your completed fingerprints for review. If you haven’t got your fingerprints taken, see below!

  3. Get your fingerprints taken abroad.
    You cannot take fingerprints by yourself – they must be taken officially. Go to a local police station, notary office, or a private fingerprinting agency in your country and request fingerprints on the standard fingerprint form (RCMP C216C).

  4. Submit your completed fingerprints via mail.
    Once our experienced staff have confirmed your fingerprints, mail the original fingerprint document to our office for processing. We will digitize your fingerprints and submit them electronically to the RCMP with our direct connection.

  5. Receive your Canadian police clearance at your preferred address.
    If you don’t have a criminal record in Canada, wait about 5 to 10 business days for the issuance of your Canadian police clearance. If there is a record, turnaround time can take up to 120 days.
