When having your fingerprints taken, it is important to keep in mind the type of form that they are taken on. Certain applications will require specific forms, and different types of certified criminal record checks will sometimes need different fingerprint forms. The following situations are what we encounter most, and these are the requirements for them:

• Canadian RCMP Police Check  RCMP C216C form
• FBI Identity History Summary Checks or State Licensing FBI FD258 form
• Mexican Police Certificate – can accept C216C forms, however, they require ink fingerprints
• Japanese/Thai/Singaporean Police Certificate   Forms specific to each country
• South African Police Certificate / Passport Application   Specific form
