Outside Canada – RCMP Fingerprints-based-Certified Criminal Record Check

Thank you for submitting an application for a RCMP fingerprints-based certified criminal record check from outside of Canada. Here are the following steps on what you can expect after applying with us:

Step 1:

Take your fingerprints at your local police station, any notary office, or private fingerprinting agency. Here is the link to a blank RCMP C216C fingerprint form: C216C-RCMP. You may print the form out and bring it to your fingerprinting location to take your fingerprints.

Please note that the following must be on the fingerprint form:

  • The official stamp of the fingerprinting agency/location
  • The signature of the official who took your fingerprints
  • All fingerprints must be in black ink

Step 2:

Scan two pieces of government issued IDs and the completed fingerprint form to: The Fingerprint Room Inc.

Step 3:

Once we return during our business hours, we will send you an email to confirm your documents.

Step 4:

Once the fingerprints have been confirmed that it is taken correctly, mail the original fingerprint form to our Richmond office.

Step 5:

Original fingerprints will be digitized to the RCMP for a background check.

Step 6:

Once the fingerprints have been accepted by the RCMP, it will take about 5 to 10 business days for us to receive your certificate.

Step 7:

RCMP certificate will be couriered to you by UPS.
