Are you looking to immigrate or get a Visa, such as Travel or Work Visa, from countries outside of Canada? Some countries require you to have a RCMP criminal background check. We can assist you with this procedure. We have noticed some countries have digital fingerprinting services available. We are not able to accept any digital fingerprint files, however, if printed out, we can accept printed digital fingerprints. These tend to be clearer and have less visibility issues than the manual ink and roll fingerprints.
Some authorized agencies will not accept RCMP C216C fingerprint forms. Similarly, for clients in USA, some police agencies will not take your fingerprint on our RCMP C216C form. The Fingerprint Room, however, will accept FBI FD-258 forms. In cases where the agencies will take fingerprints on our RCMP form, the fingerprint form must be stamped with the agency stamp and signed by the officer in order for us to process them. Additionally, the fingerprint should be taken in black ink, we are able to process them. If the fingerprints cannot be stamped or signed, you may have it notarized and provide us with the notarization letter.
In Japan, the police will not sign NOR stamp the fingerprint form which prevents you from having it notarized by the Canadian Embassy as they cannot certify the validity of your prints without a signature or stamp. The National Japan Police only provides fingerprinting service to Japanese citizens and foreigner residents with a residence card. The Fingerprint Room (opening soon in Tokyo) however, will provide fingerprinting services for everyone, regardless of nationality or citizenship. Currently we offer staff dispatch service in Tokyo to National Japan Police to notarize your fingerprints.

However, agencies and countries who accept CPIC certificate are limited. Before applying for CPIC, please make sure that you do not require a fingerprint based background check. When applying, CPIC will require 2 pieces of government issued picture ID. Please scan it to us in its original size along with the application form.
